Facing the Giants
Director- Alex Kendrick
Produced by- Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick, David Nixon
Rated- PG for some thematic elements
This is an inspiring and ultimately victorious film about a high school football coach, Grant Taylor (Alex Kendrick), who can not lead his team to a winning season. With seemingly everything he tries to do fails, he feels that the giants of fear and failure are surrounding him.
This stories theme: Never give up, never back down, never loose faith. It's about giving your life to God, and letting him do something with it. As far as content, there is no language that I can recall. A couple can't have children, so there are a couple scenes relating to this that parents may not want young children to watch. The movie has plenty of funny parts, and of course, has exciting... Football games! The music in the movie is contemporary, which some may have a problem with. You may not appreciate the cheerleaders dress, but they are in a scarce few scenes. This is a great film, which will definitely encourage you. (And make you want to get outside and play football!).
